Fashion Tips: Suit Up. Simmer Down. Set it Off.

Suit Up!:

    Tom Ford

Guys. Own. At least. One. Well Tailored. Suit!!! Period!!! I'm not talking the "Steve Harvey collection 8 sizes too big". I mean tailored to the point that breathing becomes optional.  Tom Ford is NOT the only game in town in slim fit.  Hugo Boss has been doing it well and not at insane high pricing for years.  Hell, now a days you can get a Euro cut three piece suit from Men's Warehouse  or Joseph A Bank for under 300 bucks!!! No excuses gents. Make it so!

Simmer Down Now!

Don't do too much!!  If you are going to roll the jeans but want to keep the look dressy, calm it down with a conservative shirt, tie and shoe combo (extra points for a vest).

Really distressed denim should never be combined with a really distressed shirt or shoes. Again, pull the outfit back a notch by going conservative on the shoes and shirt (extra extra points for working in a bow tie AND pocket square.  Yes!! Perfectly acceptable to rock a pocket square on a "vest only" look).

**pro tip. Guys, I hate to tell you this but bedazzled, big pocket, boot cut jeans are OUT (even true religion is going away from this style...or lack there of). Straight jeans are acceptable. Skinny to Win-ny. Don't fight it.  Just let it happen.

Set it Off!

Nothing will inject FIRE into your outfit like red Salvatore Ferragamo Driving Mocisins.  Blue denim and a white T Shirt and you've achieved casual couture.  Tods are another great high end brand of driving mocs but now Aldo has them in most any color at bargain basement prices.

**pro tip. Red isn't for everyone but if your closet has only one pair of black shoes that were purchased in the last century. FAIL!!  Brown and black loafers are the bare minimum and lace ups if you want to step your game up to the next next level.
