Trip Report Tucson By Day - May 2014

Day tripped to Tuck Son (yes, I've actually heard it called that) just before central and southern Arizona got hell hot. Plus the 458 needed it's legs stretched...so...win win.  Here are some highlights:

Fourth Ave / Congress Street:

Bars , restaurants and shops galour.  Even though a lot of the places here are relatively new the buildings they are housed in are not so you feel like you are in  an actual city...crazy...I know. If you are really feeling 'Scottsdale Home Sick' there is even a Hi-Fi. Bam!  You're welcome.  7/10 Stars

Pima Air Museum:

Hundreds of retired aircraft, modern to seemingly ancient, both in hangers and in a massive field. Cannot believe that it took me twelve years of living in Arizona to make it there. 8/10 Stars

Maynard's Market and Restaurant:

A place so nice we hit it twice! Part wine bar part restaurant on Congress. We went to the wine bar for an afternoon drink then back to the restaurant for happy hour. Winning Winning.  8/10 Stars

Tucson is definey worth a day trip. Maybe even an overnighter.  I was feeling lazy on the way north so I made G chauffeur us home.  Her driving? 10/10 Stars

Thanks for reading!

Doc Jay
